Terms of use and privacy policy

This is a provisional version. Fitast has not launched yet, and this version only applies to test accounts. Before launch, version 1 replaces it, and every account is asked to accept it.
Fitast
Fitast is a macro diary and workout log app, free and with no ads, that runs on the web and, later, on Android, on iPhone and on watches.
Fitast is not a company yet: the person who builds it and answers for it, including for your data, is its creator, as an individual. You can reach us at we@fitast.app.
A test version
While Fitast is under construction, the app may change, go offline or lose data, and test accounts may be deleted before launch. Do not keep anything in Fitast that you do not have somewhere else.
Not medical advice
Fitast calculates targets and estimates, such as your calorie expenditure and the maximum load of an exercise, from what you log. They are not medical or nutritional advice. Before changing your diet or your training, especially if you have a health condition, talk to a professional.
Your account
An account is personal and can only be created by someone 18 or older. You sign in with a code sent to your email, so keep access to it safe. Do not use Fitast for anything illegal or to disrupt the service.
The data we handle
For your account: your email, your name and your language. For the app to work: what you log in it, such as meals, workouts, weight, measurements and progress photos.
Weight, diet, measurements and photos are health data, which the law treats as sensitive (LGPD, art. 11; GDPR, art. 9). That is why sign-up asks for your consent to them, apart from accepting these terms. Without it there is no account, because the app does not work without this data.
For security: the IP address of whoever asks for a code, to limit attempts, and the technical logs of the server.
What we use it for
Only to give you the service: keeping what you log, calculating your targets, syncing your devices and sending your account emails, such as the sign-in code. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for ads and we do not hand it to anyone, unless the law requires it.
Where it is kept
On Amazon Web Services, in São Paulo, Brazil. Emails go out through an email provider, which only receives the address and the message. If you use Fitast from outside Brazil, your data is transferred here.
No tracking
The app and this site have no ads, no usage analytics and no tracking cookies. The app only keeps on your device what it needs to work, such as your session and the data to use it offline.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it and withdraw your consent, which deletes the account. Write to we@fitast.app from the email of your account, and we answer within 15 days. Deleting removes the account and everything logged in it.
Changes
A new version of these terms is published on this site, with the date it takes effect, and the address of each version never changes. Every account will be asked to accept version 1 before launch.
